The Izzling Seafood is on point every time! TONS OF PERFECTLY prepared seafood of every kind!Ask for less oil when they are cooking it though. Veggies are fresh, plentiful and crisp which I love! They have super fast delivery too. Haven't dined in here yet actually lol! Their flavors and attention to detail keep me coming back for more though! This is a staple of SLO thai food and well worth the visit!
We were around Cal Poly and wanted to grab a quick bite before getting back on the road. There weren't too many places that looked good, so we decided to check this place out. It was really crowded when we walked in, but a lot of the people were there just for take out, so it moved along quite fast. Unfortunately there was only one waiter for about 8 tables, so it was kind of chaotic. We were seated within five minutes of waiting. We ordered the small Chicken Tom Yum Soup, the Chicken Pad Thai and the Mongolian Beef with rice (~$38.00) and it all came out within 20 minutes. The soup was my favorite and had a lot of flavor and I wished I had gotten it a bit spicier. The Pad Thai was all right and they give you a good amount. There were a lot more vegetables than beef in the dish, but it was tasty nonetheless. They have a good number of tables, customer bathrooms and overall a good choice of dishes. We just wish there had been more than one waiter - he looked severely over worked. But we were in and out of the place in 40 minutes which was amazing! Definitely check how busy the place is before going in!
Thai Classic is my all time favorite Thai restaurant in San Luis Obispo, and there are tons of Thai spots to choose from. It is a very homey feel, with beautiful decor and comfortable seating. The people running the business are extremely friendly! It is located on the end of downtown on Higuera street. I recommend free street parking after 6pm, or parking in any of the parking structures (first hour is free, second hour is $1 or $1.50). My favorite thing to do is go family style here to try all of there different things. Their curries are delicious, I prefer the green curry which is very flavorful and filled with vegetables. My favorite noodle dish is their pad see ew, the vegetables have such a great crunch and there are several protein options. For soups, I have gotten the tom yum and tom kha which are both really tasty. I also recommend the Thai iced coffee or Thai iced tea, they are both sweet and strong and balances out a lot of the spice from the dishes. If you like spice but your taste buds don't like me, I recommend going mild on the dishes and there are a variety of dry and wet spices at the table that you can sprinkle onto the food! It does get packed on peak meal times so be prepared to wait, it is worth it though!
Thai Classic is located at the start of downtown on Higuera street. In my opinion it is the best Thai food in this part of town - and it is run by a friendly Thai family! They have your classic Thai fare. Whenever I come here I order family style with my group - and I recommend doing the same. That way you can get a taste of many different flavors. The Pad See Yew is probably my favorite dish here, but their other dishes such as curry, pad thai and fried rice all hit the spot as well. My girlfriend enjoys getting their Thai iced coffee too. We like coming here sometimes on Thursday evenings after walking through Farmers market. If you have yet to stop in, I recommend doing so!
Dropped by this spot for lunch on our way back to the Bay Area. The employees were friendly and attentive. We ordered Pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and wonton hot pot. Pad see ew was great. Noodles we're soft. Nice and sauce just the way I like it. Pineapple fried rice was good also. The wonton soup was really good. Broth was great. Wontons were yummy. Will come back here when we're in the area. Knocked off a star because the bathroom could have been cleaner.
